I have always been a bit wary of ordering items on-line , particularly with a significant price tag. However, I need not have worried as Pogo Cycles Sales/Customer Care team based in Dublin helped me every step of the way. Apart from a slight technical glitch with the order tracking from the supply depot in Poland all went to plan. Having placed my order on 12th June I took delivery of my new Fafrees F20 Mate electric tricycle on 1st July. It arrived in a huge box strapped to a wooden pallet but actually quite easy to unpack. (Recommend you watch the excellent YouTube videos BEFORE unpacking! I did this twice and found it extremely helpful). There is serious amount of superb packing round the bike and, to be perfectly honest, it probably took longer to unpack everything than assemble the bike. Assembly couldn't be easier (again, watch video a few times first!). Everything is straightforward and not too mechanically challenging. The accompanying Gift Box actually contained all the small tools required, spare inner tube and spare brake pads! Nice touch! Excellent idea! I had the bike fully assembled and riding round my yard in about 35/ 40 minutes.
So, on to a review of the bike itself. Having never ridden a tricycle before, let alone an electric bike, I was naturally very cautious to start with but soon I was comfortably in control of everything and cruising up and down our quiet cul-de-sac. The bike design and build is exceptional. This machine is built to last and cope with all terrains and conditions. From the fat tyres to the suspension and lights (including indicators and brake light!) it is a work of art. Once I became more familiar with the control panel and operation of assisted power it was dream to ride and also very comfortable with with suspension seat and backrest. The facility to fold the bike down is amazing and very easy - great design. All in all this is one great product and, based on my experience to date, I would recommend both Pogo Cycles and Fafrees F20 Mate tricycle to anyone looking for a reliable, comfortable and safe mode of transport. I'm fast approaching 70 and wanted a safer mode of transport for short trips around town than a conventional two-wheeler. I definitely got that with the F20. Here's to more happy miles!
Only one slight hiccup was that the delivered bike did not have the extra large carrier and front basket I ordered. However, I sent an e-mail off to Pogo Cycles and, lo and behold, my new carriers arrived by DPD courier 5 days later. Now all fitted and ready for my fishing trips! Well done Pogo. Great customer service.
